Have a Fit and Stylish Week.

What are your plans this week?

On this week’s fit and stylish itinerary:

Monday promises to be marvelous. My fiance and I will do our SpartaChris workout. That’s us in the picture above huffing and puffing at the end of the last one we did. Then I’ll have coffee with a brilliant writer friend for our almost-weekly-social-writing session.

Before I know it, it’ll be Monday Night Date Night. We’ll be spending it in, grilling steaks and drinking wine that we bought while we were at Four Daughters Vineyard and Winery last week. Given my manic and marvelous Monday, the rest of the week promises to be a bit of a blur.

Hope you have a fit and stylish week ahead!

This week’s recommended reading: Women Talking (https://amzn.to/2Iy7eJq) by Miriam Toews, Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love (https://amzn.to/2Xi0fst) by Dani Shapiro, and The Beauty Diet (https://amzn.to/2DdqNTT) by David Wolfe.

A favorite line from The Beauty Diet, “Food is not just a factor that affects us, it is the primary factor that affects us.” While I am enjoying the book overall, one concern I have is his recommendation of coconut oil. I have zero medical training.

However, the Mayo Clinic has published articles about coconut oil being unhealthy for hearts.

According to a recent study, Bad Diets Kill More People Around the World Than Smoking.

Need a sweet tooth compromise? You could try Dark Raspberry Enjoy Life Chocolate Protein Bites (https://amzn.to/2UiwTIr). Fiance tested and approved. Or, you could give these a try, Creme Brulee Energy Bites.

Consider giving the Enough series by The Rumpus literary magazine a read. It features artwork by women and non-binary people that engage with rape culture, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
